Tickets on sale for Marriott London Sevens
Tickets have gone on sale for the final round of the HSBC Sevens World Series, the Marriott London Sevens, with organisers giving fans an enticing early bird offer.
Fans can currently secure their place at the Twickenham showpiece event on both 11 and 12 May 2013 for only £20.
Last season the London title went to Fiji, who beat Samoa in a fine contest, while the HSBC Sevens World Series went down to the wire with New Zealand only clinching their 10th Series late on day two by reaching the Cup semi finals.
In 2013, the London tournament will take on added significance with two competitions taking place side by side involving 20 nations. In one, the top 12-ranked sides in the Series after round eight in Glasgow will compete for the London title, and final World Series points towards their overall tally.
The second, meanwhile, will provide an enthralling qualifying finale for those teams vying to secure core team status for the next season. The 13th, 14th and 15th-ranked core teams after Glasgow the previous weekend will compete against five pre-qualified regional teams from Hong Kong for the three core team places on the 2013/14 HSBC Sevens World Series.
Last season, London set a new one-day attendance world record for Rugby Sevens on the Saturday, with well over 100,000 fans converging on Twickenham over the weekend.
In 2013 organisers the RFU are expecting another uplift and are urging fans to purchase their tickets early, and take advantage of the current offer.
