Sevens Social - Get involved with #SA7s
In the second 'Sevens Social' of the 2012/13 HSBC Sevens World Series we look back to some of the highlights from the Emirates Airline Dubai Rugby Sevens and tell you how to get involved with this weekend’s Cell C Nelson Mandela Bay Sevens.
Samoa’s 26-15 victory against New Zealand was unsurprisingly the most talked about aspect from the second round of the Sevens World Series.
On the official Facebook page, the message congratulation Samoa was liked more than 1,100 times and seen by more than 27,000 people within minutes of the final whistle.
In fact, across the two days of action from 7he Sevens more than 125,000 people saw some form of content produced by the Sevens Facebook page and the number of page likes soared past 100,000. This weekend you can be one of the first to hear all the latest from Port Elizabeth by joining the Sevens pages.
More than 13,500 people were talking about the Dubai Sevens across the weekend on Facebook whilst on Twitter the official hashtag, #Dubai7s, was used more than 10,000 times and trended in the UAE.
This weekend, at the third round of the Series, the official hashtag is #SA7s, so be sure to tweet that or @irbsevens to help get it trending and for your chance to appear in our live blog as the following people did in Dubai.

On YouTube, where you can see all the highlights from the World Series, you will also be able to vote for your favourite try from the 'Seven of the best' video for each round.
Pedro Leal’s try for Portugal against eventual winners Samoa was the undisputed winner, receiving more than 85% of the votes on Facebook, adding to Joji Raqamate's try in Australia.
This season HSBC are also giving fans the chance to win a VIP trip to any of the tournaments on the 2013/14 HSBC Sevens World Series.
Over the course of the season, fans will be challenged to upload their favourite image of themselves and their friends enjoying the Sevens using the hash tag #SevensFan via Instagram, Twitter or Facebook.
Throughout the season, HSBC ambassadors will select a winning image from each tournament, with those nine winners going into the final and an overall champion being selected.
Another new initiative for this season saw the TV commentators produce a 'Dream Team' from the Dubai Sevens which fans were able to comment on. Keep an eye out at the weekend for their team from South Africa.
