 IRB confirms pool draw for SA Sevens
South Africa and captain Kyle Brown will be looking to bounce back at their home event, the Nelson Mandela Bay Sevens

The IRB has confirmed the pool draw for round 3 of the HSBC Sevens World Series, the Nelson Mandela Bay Sevens in Port Elizabeth on 9-10 December 2011.

The draw was made live on television before the Cup final of the Emirates Airline Dubai Sevens, the second round of the 2011/12 season, won by England.

As Dubai champions, England top pool A in South Africa and face a tough trio of matches against Dubai Cup semi finalists Argentina, Bowl runners-up USA and Shield winners Samoa.

France reached a first World Series Cup final since 2005 in Dubai. As Cup runners-up, they top Pool B in Port Elizabeth and will play pool matches on day one against reigning Series and SA Sevens champions New Zealand, Dubai Bowl winners Scotland and African qualifiers Morocco.

Hosts South Africa top Pool C and play Australia, who beat them in the Dubai Plate final, Canada and Kenya.

Fiji head Pool D and will play resurgant Wales, Portugal and the remaining African side in the draw, Zimbabwe.

Following their win in Dubai, England climbed to second in the HSBC Sevens World Series standings, seven points behind Gold Coast champions Fiji.
